Please check the Pricing for our hourly rate. When filling out either form, you can dictate how many songs you need mixed/mastered, and how many tracks/stems are in each song. We will use these numbers to determine an estimated total amount of hours, and the projects total price. Half of the projects total price is due up front. The other half is due before any revisions are delivered.
Please note: The projects total price is subject to change throughout the process if we deem that more work is necessary than originally discussed. However, we will always notify the client if there will be a price change after the invoice has already been sent. If you have an issue or complaint about this process, please reach out to support@avinylmix.com.
Mixing is the process of editing recorded tracks down to a single sound to be mastered. The editing process usually includes: fixing any flaws; level edits; compression and EQ changes; creating a “virtual space” with panning, reverb, and delay; etc. There are certain techniques to completing these processes and that alone is the reason to hire a professional to put all of the pieces together.
Mastering is the process of preparing a song(s) for release to the public. This can include: Adding the finishing touches to the overall sound of the song; making the overall song sound louder (without clipping); making the loudness of all songs the same (if apart of an album/EP/mixtape); fixing any flaws with low/mid/high-end frequencies; etc. Mastering is never recommended to handle yourself unless you know how to approach the process and use the correct techniques.
We are proud to inform that we work with every genre in the music industry. Whether its Rap/Hip Hop, Rock/Progressive Metal, or even Gypsy Punk, AViNYL treats every project like it is our own and we bring out the best sounds in each project. Yes, we even do Grindcore and other crazy sub-genres.
Revisions are any edits the client requests once the initial project has been delivered. Multiple edits can be requested per 1 revision, but clients are only aloud 3 revisions per song/track/project. We will charge for any extra revisions based on the severity of the edits needed. If you need more revisions for an existing song/track/project, please contact us.
Please refer to these Examples for samples of the services that we offer.
The turnaround times will be discussed with the client prior to payment. Smaller projects can generally be finished in as little as 3 days. For larger projects, the average time is 4 – 5 days. Entire EPs/albums/etc. can take weeks to months to be completely finished and turnaround time is highly dependent on the level of work that needs to be completed.
These times are estimates of when the initial download will be sent. Any turnaround times after the initial download are based solely on the number and severity of revisions needed and are subject to change.
Unfortunately, no. As easy as this sounds, AViNYL only has a handful of Instrument plugins that are used for actual production. As stated in the instructions on the Preparation page, all MIDI tracks must be converted to separate audio tracks. (Unless instructed otherwise)
For example: If your project contains a MIDI drum track using a virtual drum plugin, we would require you to convert each part of the drums (Kick, Snare, Toms, Overheads, Rooms, etc.) to a separate audio track so that it can be mixed properly. This is usually referred to as Committing or Bouncing in Place.
If you have any questions about this process or need some help converting the MIDI tracks to audio tracks, please contact us.
No. We do not send any session files to our clients. You will only receive a WAV file of the finished product. We do offer alternate mixes such as Backing Tacks and Radio Versions. Please select the additional services while submitting the form on the Mixing page
Please Note: AViNYL will only provide you with an ISRC if you are on our label and we handle the distribution of your music.
The ISRC (International Standard Recording Code) is the international identification system for sound recordings and music video recordings. Each ISRC is a unique and permanent identifier for a specific recording, independent of the format on which it appears (CD, audio file, etc) or the rights holders involved. Only one ISRC should be issued to a track, and an ISRC can never represent more than one unique recording.
ISRCs are widely used in digital commerce by download sites and collecting societies. An ISRC can also be permanently encoded into a product as its digital fingerprint. Encoded ISRC provide the means to automatically identify recordings for royalty payments.
For more information and to obtain an ISRC for yourself, please visit https://www.usisrc.org/
As per out Terms of Service, we DO NOT offer any sort of money back guarantee. The projects are discussed ahead of time and clients pay through invoices.
Half of the total payment is required up front, the other half is required before any revisions are sent to the client.
Please take the time to read through our Terms of Service & Privacy Policy before asking any question.
